Pick a month to see Louisville’s major festivals, the normal high, low, rain and snow at the airport, and what to pack for the season.

Dates are the organizers’ own and change every year; weather is NOAA’s long-term normals for the airport, not a forecast. Full calendar: Louisville Festival Calendar by Month: The Whole Year at a Glance.
How to read the wheel
Each slice is a month, coloured by season: winter blue, spring green, summer orange and fall purple. The dots on a slice show how many events the wheel lists for that month. The wheel opens on the current month.
Event lines repeat what the organizers publish. Where they give a date for a particular year, the line says which year; fixed rules, such as the Derby on the first Saturday in May or WorldFest on Labor Day weekend, hold every year. Confirm exact dates on the organizer’s page before you plan travel. The full list is in Louisville Festival Calendar by Month: The Whole Year at a Glance.
The weather figures are NOAA’s 1991-2020 climate normals for Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport: long-term averages, not forecasts. Check the National Weather Service forecast a few days ahead and again on the morning of the event. See Louisville Festival Weather by Month: What to Pack and When to Worry.
Smaller neighborhood fairs, food festivals and concerts are not on the wheel. Louisville Tourism publishes an events calendar, and the Kentucky State Fair posts its own dates each year.
